Stain Removal

Adhesive:
Apply ice or cold water to harden surface and then remove excess with a dull knife or plastic scraper. Apply SuperC Gum & Goo Remover and allow product to work for 30 seconds then wipe with clean cloth or paper towel. Rinse with water.
Beetroot / Red Wine:
Spray with ‘Normal’ solution (1:20) If stain changes colour to green / brown mix white vinegar with water in equal parts and pour on the stain.
Blood:
Spray Normal solution on stain – allow 10 seconds to work either wipe off or wash fabrics using HLD laundry powder. Dried stains should be pretreated with SuperBLUE Heavy solution or soaked in warm water containing SuperSOAK and then laundered.
Body Odour / Perspiration:
To remove odour from fabrics spray with SuperSOL Disinfectant and then soak in warm water with 3 caps of SuperSOL added. Allow to soak for 1 hour and then wash in warm water and HLD.
Brown / Yellow stains caused by rust.
Pretreat stain with Super BRITE low pH Cleaner (1:4 solution) and allow to soak in warm water for 15 minutes before washing with HLD laundry powder.
Candle Wax:
Scrape off excess with a plastic scraper or dull knife. Place stain between clean paper towels and press with a warm iron. As the paper absorbs the wax replace with new clean ones. Sponge the remaining stain with SuperBLUE Normal Solution, blot with paper towel and allow to dry. Wash with HLD in warm to very warm water.
Carpets: (Test for colour fastness before use)
Spray on Normal solution – agitate gently with a nail brush, or similar, and allow SuperBLUE time to work before wiping with a clean dry cloth. Work towards the centre of the stain to avoid spreading.
When using in a carpet cleaning machine add 1 part SuperBLUE to 20 parts water.
Coffee / Tea stains:
Sponge or soak stain in cool water. For machine washable fabric pretreat with SuperBLUE Heavy solution (1:4) or make a paste using SuperSOAK and warm water and apply to stain. Machine or hand wash fabric in warm water and 2 scoops of HLD laundry powder.
Collars and Cuffs:
Use a ‘Heavy’ solution (1:4). Dampen fabric first and spray collars, cuffs and stains with the heavy solution before washing in warm water and 2 scoops of HLD laundry powder. Keep whites separate from coloured fabrics.
Cosmetics:
Pretreat with SuperBLUE Heavy Solution or a paste of SuperSOAK and wash in warm water with HLD.
Dairy Products:
Soak in warm water with SuperSOAK for at least 30 minutes and wash with HLD.
Egg:
Soak in SuperSOAK and warm water for at least 30 minutes (longer for older stains) and then wash with HLD.
Fruit Juice:
Pretreat with Super BRITE and soak for 30 minutes before washing in warm water and HLD.
Grass:
Pretreat with SuperBLUE Heavy Solution and wash in warm water and HLD.
Grease
For grease stains on materials or carpet spray on Normal solution SuperBLUE. Wipe off with a clean dry cloth working from edges of the stain towards the centre to avoid spreading the stain.
For washable fabrics pretreat with SuperBLUE Heavy Solution and then wash with HLD in the hottest water allowable for the fabric. For very heavy grease stains place paper towelling on to a stainless steel bench or sink top. Place the fabric stain side down on the paper towels and saturate the back of the stain with either SuperBLUE (1:4) or CITRUS Degreaser (1:4) – wait 5 minutes and repeat. Pour hot┬░ water over the back of the stain and wash in separately in warm water and HLD. ┬░Check fabric for allowable water temperatures.
Ink / Nail Polish:
Remove ink from hard surfaces using a 1:1 mix of CITRUS Degreaser.
For clothing / material: Small marks apply SuperC Gum & Goo Remover and blot with paper towel and while still damp wash in warm water with 1 scoop HLD and 1 scoop of SuperSOAK.
For larger stains place the stain over the mouth of a jar or glass. Keep the fabric taut and gently pour Gum & Goo Remover through the stain and into the container. Spray the stain with either SuperBLUE (1:4) or CITRUS (1:4) and wash while still damp in warm water and HLD.
(N.B. Some permanent ink or nail polish may be impossible to move.)
Mildew or Mould:
To remove from hard surfaces use SuperBLUE (1:4) or CITRUS (1:4).
Spray on Normal solution SuperBLUE and agitate with a soft brush or cleaning pad. For fabric stained with mildew rinse use a safe bleach solution to launder staining and then wash in warm water and HLD.
N.B. Follow directions on the bleach product label regarding treatment of fabrics.
Nappies:
Soak in SuperSOAK and hot water for at least 2 hours before machine washing in warm water and HLD.
Paint / Varnish: (N.B. once dry paint is very difficult to remove)
Water Based – Spray on SuperBLUE Normal Solution (1:20) and wash in warm water and HLD.
Oil Based – Use the solvent the product label advises as a thinner (.eg. Mineral Turps) to dilute the stain and rinse in warm water. Spray mark with SuperBLUE (1:4) solution and wash in warm water and HLD.
Red Wine:
See Beetroot above.
Shoe Polish:
Pretreat with SuperBLUE Heavy Solution and wash in warm water and HLD.
Tar:
Remove tar from hard surfaces with CITRUS Degreaser (1:1) mix. For stubborn marks and clothing use Gum & Goo Remover rinse or wash afterwards.
Smoke stains:
Spray on Normal solution and wipe off with a dry cloth.
Soft Drink:
See Coffee / Tea above.
Tiles:
Use a heavy solution. Apply to tiles and allow at least one minute to work. Agitate with stiff brush or broom and mop with clean water.
Tobacco:
Spray with SuperBLUE Heavy solution (1:4) and wash or rinse.
Underwear:
Soak in SuperSOAK and warm to very warm water for at least 30 minutes before washing in warm water and HLD. (for delicate fabrics hand wash using SuperPINK pH Neutral Detergent.

Avoid the use of hot water on protein based stains such egg or milk.
